Gutenberg, the newest editor from WordPress, is being released on November 27, 2018 and is going to be making big changes to the WP editing experience. The new editor uses a block-based approach to content editing which will help to make your site more customizable. However when the update occurs, it may also make some unwanted changes to your site. The Gutenberg editor has the potential to affect the functionality of your site and may make it inoperable to your users when it updates.
However, you can disable Gutenberg until you are ready with two plugin options. We recommend using the Disable Gutenberg plugin.
This plugin allows you to disable the Gutenberg editor and replace it with the Classic Editor wherever you want it. You can disable it completely or chose to disable it only for specific post types, user roles, page IDs and more.
The Classic Editor plugin option restores the WordPress Classic Editor, fully replacing and hiding all traces of the Gutenberg editor on your site.
Download either of these plugins now to ensure that your site is ready for when WordPress 5.0 is released, and contact us if you have any other issues or concerns.
